This is an authentic Canadian cottage experience, the way it's been done here for a long time: the resort was started back in the 1950s, and the cottage life it was built on is still the one you'll find today.
Each cottage has a full kitchen and everything you need to settle in, so it really does feel like your own place at the lake. When you're ready to get out on the water, we've got boats, kayaks and paddleboards to rent, a sandy beach for swimming, and fishing right off the dock. Tweed's shops and restaurants are a short walk away, and we're about halfway between Toronto and Ottawa — easy to get to, hard to leave. Come for the week, or come for the weekend. Either way, the lake will be waiting.

Tweed's shops and restaurants are just a short walk away, perfect for when you want a break from cooking. We're conveniently located about halfway between Toronto and Ottawa, making it an easy drive from either city. This is also a great meeting point for families traveling from both directions. Additionally, we are in proximity to Belleville, Napanee, Kingston, Trenton, Campbellford, and Peterborough, ensuring that hospitals are nearby, just in case.

Take the pontoon out for a slow afternoon with the family. Grab one of our aluminum fishing boats and head out early, when the water's calm and the fish are biting. Or take a kayak or paddleboard and explore the shoreline at your own pace. No boat of your own? No problem. Just ask us and we'll get you on the water.
Around here, the day happens at the beach — 250 feet of our own sand on Stoco Lake, groomed and ready for our guests. The water slopes out gently, so the little ones can wade and splash without it getting deep fast, and the bigger kids swim out to the pirate ship raft and come back captains. Some resorts entertain the kids. Ours just lets them be kids: a playground for climbing and swinging, sandcastles of a serious nature, older kids fishing right off the dock — plenty of first fish have been caught there. There are docks for the boats, too, but the beach itself is for one thing: slowing down. Bring a book, bring a coffee, or just bring the kids and watch them go.
No schedules, no lineups, no screens required — just outside, all day. And because we're on the west shore, the day ends in front of the whole beach, the sun setting over the water. Then it's a campfire at your own fire pit, s'mores, and kids asleep before their heads hit the pillow.
Stoco Lake has a reputation, and the fishing is why. Northern Pike, Trophy Muskie, small and large mouth bass, walleye, perch, black crappie, gar pike, Channel Cat — they're all out there, and you don't need to go far to find them. Fish right off our docks (plenty of first fish have been caught there), take one of our aluminum boats out early when the water's calm, or bring your own and use the boat launch. When you come back in, there's a fish cleaning station waiting for you — and a fire pit at your cottage for the shore lunch stories.
